Hard Stomach

When I am lying on my back and pushing on my stomach right below my belly button, I sometimes feel this hard rock. Is this normal? I don't think it's early contractions. I did look it up on the internet and found a site that said around the 2nd trimester, your uterus is moving from your pelvic bone towards your belly button and since it is growing, it can feel hard sometimes. Just wanna make sure that this sounds right to everyone who has been pregnant before. It gets hard in different places, so I'm wondering if that's where the baby is.

P.S. Just had our third appointment last week and found out we are having a little girl!!!

That's your uterus! Isn't it weird how firm it is?

Uteri are weird sometimes. The extra hardness is probably practice contractions...you've been having them since the egg implanted, now your uterus is big enough to feel them!

Im amazed and totally fascinated at how hard my uterus is! Mine popped up in just a few days so i was not used to feeling it not covered with other fluffier things, then one day I was scratching my belly button and felt something really hard thru it on the lower side, I kinda freaked for a sec before I slowly came to realize my uterus gat grown all the way to my navel without me noticing it, must of happened in two days!
