Breakfast ideas?

I need some suggestions on healthy, high protein breakfast ideas. I've always eaten eggs, a whole wheat low carb tortilla and an apple for breakfast and that's gotten me started and kept me going for hours. Now that I'm newly pg I can't stomach the eggs and can hardly touch the low carb tortilla. The apple went down okay though. Homeschool stuff is starting back this week and I need something fast. Thanks for any ideas!

I have always eaten "normal" food for breakfast. Pizza, veggie sandwich, leftover pasta, peanut butter on whole wheat, turkey on wheat. Even miso soup.

I eat french toast almost every morning I'm pregnant. You can use up one egg with two pieces of bread. Then a little bit later I drink a glass of milk and have a banana. A little bit later I eat some nuts.

Now that I think of it, I could probably also stomach granola. There's usually a lot of protein in granola!

Maybe a peanut butter and jelly sandwich? Or like the PP said, some other "normal" food? Hot ham and cheese sandwich?

I agree about eggs first thing in the AM...yuck! (of course, they are lovely for dinner!) My favorite breakfasts right now are yogurt with granola (homemade!), cottage cheese with pineapple, or WW toast with peanut butter and honey. I"ll never turn down a slice of pizza either, but the kids think I"m gross.

Yogurt and yogurt smoothies were the only things I could keep down during that 1st trimester. Occasionally a hardboiled egg, but fried eggs were yuck!

You can make your own yogurt smoothies in the blender with your favorite fruits, and if you toss in a handful of spinach or kale you can't even taste it. Blend well, though, cause textures were really hard on me those first three months, too!

My breakfast just about every morning is a cup of oatmeal (a cup measured, uncooked) with 1TBSP of milled ground flax seed (don't even taste it) and 1/4 of raisins. Its 10 grams of protein AND 10g of fiber.
I put a little honey or brown sugar in on the morning I want it to be sweet. I stay full all morning, and sometimes even by lunch I have to remind myself to eat.

I feel much better when I get protein first thing in the am but I hear ya on the eggs...yuck!

I've been doing smoothies, organic raisin english mufins with peanut butter, bacon(it's so filling for me all that yummy fat ), breakfast sand with cheese and ham, baked oatmeal, fruit with cottage cheese, bean and cheese burrito, we don't normally eat cereals but I recently bought some because some mornings that's all that I can stomach I just make sure to buy organic ones and add strawberries, bananas or blueberries for added nutrition.

Another vote for smoothies, I make them with frozen fruit (mangoes or blueberries) banana, vanilla yogurt, whatever juice is on hand, and a few tablespoons of ground flax. Delicious!! And the frozen fruit makes ice unnecessary and it stays cold for a long time while I make my way to work. TBH, I am hungry again by mid-morning and a few days recently I have gone for tuna sandwiches.Gross, I know, I guess my body wanted the protein.

Breakfast

This might sound gross....BUT...my husband always makes enough food at night for leftovers the next day. The leftovers are inteneded for a nice healthy lunch, but I LOVE to eat the cold leftover chicken for breakfast! (it's seasoned and yummy.)

Sometimes I eat just the chicken and other times I will mix it up with some avacado and tomatoes.

I know it sounds funny, but I've never been a person who can do anything remotely sugary in the morning (including fruit) so I'm usually eating "real" food (i.e. non-breakfast food) or heartier breakfast food (omlettes, breakfast sandwiches, bacon and toast, etc.) in the morning.

Maybe this will work for you! It's definitely a morning protein boost!
