My daughter needed to have her teeth removed and she is 4 so she had an outpatient appt. at the hospital. They suggested sealants to me and I said no because I'd researched and found bpa in most sealants. They had that crossed off their procedure sheet and everything. So after the procedure the dentist came out and said he saw that she had more cavities than thought and decided to put the sealants in without consulting me because he'd assumed that we had decided not to do them because we couldn't afford it. (They're not covered by insurance.) So then he said he wouldn't charge me. Trying to be nice, right? Well, a month later and here I have a bill for the sealants, as well as $850 of other mysterious stuff that wasn't on our original proposed bill.
I'm thinking I could sue just on the basis of him performing an unauthorized procedure. Grr!
