I feel for you Aliy. A couple days ago I was feeling sooo low-energy, it was a challenge to force myself into the shower. I was sitting on the couch feeling like a ton of bricks was on my shoulders when my doc called and said I was anemic according to my most recent blood test. She put me on two iron pills a day in addition to my prenatals, which I've been on for three days now. I still feel tired but am hoping the iron will help. Take it easy and accept help from anyone at anytime. Be gentle with yourself

(I'm currently 26 weeks preggers)

Extreme fatigue at 11 weeks? That sounds about right! :yawning

I'm nearly 22 weeks and it's all relative. I do have more energy than the 1st trimester but still less than pre-pregnancy days. Without 8 hours of sleep, I feel it...and it doesn't feel great.

I probably don't have the best diet and I don't exercise, per se, though just by living in NYC I walk a crapload more than I did when I owned a car in Denver. I think for this reason alone, I have put on very little pregnancy weight so far...but I'm also drained at the end of the day.

Random non-medically trained people have been telling me vitamin c helps your body absorb the iron. It might be worth looking in to. The saleswoman at the Vitamin store recommended a brand of iron that is from veggie sources and I've noticed very, very strong nausea about 10 to 15 minutes after I take the pill. I'll shop for another brand next time I'm out.

Wishing you some pep

Low iron

I agree with NY mama, getting a veggie source or iron supplement is best. Even liquid chlorophyll is good to use with low iron. Have you had your first prenatal check? Have your care provider check your hemoglobin to be sure.

I get the results of my blood work on the 23rd so we'll see what they say.

I just can't believe how completely run down I am right now. I literally could spend the day in bed
