Unless I didn't read carefully, I did not see one post about cooking w/the seeds in. I saw that most said they cored them first....

It depends on how juicy the apples are. But I usually do add a bit (like 1/2 cup to a cup for my big 6-qt crockpot).

What!! I leave the seeds in. My grandma has been making her sauce for years that way too. Oh time to core them...

I am in apple sauce heaven as I just got an apple sauce mill for my kitchen aid mixer. It is so fast and works like a dream to keep all skins out.

OP, If I were you, I would get 100lbs!

Put some in a tote in your basement for winter, skin, slice and freeze them for pie on a lonely winter night, and dry them too.
