Just signed my DS up for 5 weeks of 30 min pool classes which starts tomorrow.
In talking to another mom who started classes today, she told me that the pool is not as warm as you would hope it would be for little ones and it is typically on the low end of their acceptable range.
My concern is my DS has no body fat and his lips chatter even when I give him a bath with the heater on and with me pouring warm water over him, as he did this evening, as it was quite a bit cool outside with rainy weather. Our indoor temp was 74, and even I put long sleeves on because of the chill in the air.
I can't do anything about tomorrow's class, but since we have 9 more classes, I need to make sure he's going to be warm for the rest of them.
Any recommendations on where I can buy a neoprene wetsuit top for a toddler his age (not sure how they run size wise so either 12 mo or 18 mo sizing)?
I found long sleeve rash guards at Toysrus, but don't think they provide any warmth, just protection from the sun (we'll be indoors).
