Good movies to watch while pregnant?

I don't mean movies about being pregnant-- just 'feel-good' movies. I'm super sensitive and even more-so during pregnancy, but I like good films.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Right?

I love the Sandler + Barrymore duo. I loved 50 First Dates too.

Jeeves and Wooster
Entire television series--good for super-long labor!

Big Fish is probably one of my favorite "feel good" movies. Of course I always bawl my eyes out at the end, but in a good way. And it has a pregnant chick in it, haha.

I loved Penelope! Such a good movie.

Love, Actually

I remember watching the BBC's Pride & Prejudice a lot during my last pregnancy. (No time for 6 hour miniseries while chasing a toddler this time, unfortunately.) And I loved re-watching Anne of Green Gables...I was very nostalgic for favorite series of my past while pregnant.

Do not go see Toy Story 3 while pregnant...I spent about a half an hour sobbing during and then after the movie and again before bed.

Recently saw Away We Go, which is about a pregnant couple and has a couple of sort of sad moments, but is mostly funny and feel good.

Just got Pleasantville from Netflix! Another great movie.

Avoid watching Fried Green Tomatoes or a League of Their Own (both freaked me out/made me really sad due to parts I had TOTALLY forgotten!)

And as for Penelope... even my DH loved that movie!

Emma (the new PBS one is great, but the Gwyneth Paltrow one is fun).
Amelie
Stardust maybe (some dark/gothic parts but overall positive)
Pride and Prejudice-- either version!
Yay, I second Jeeves and Wooster, LOVE them, sooooo funny
Waitress is a bit dark , def about being pregnant, but so wonderful... kind of like Juno that way
Singin in the Rain
Mamma Mia

Definitely Big Fish - there are some sad themes but the overall mood is happy and fun.

I like The Importance of Being Earnest with Colin Firth.

Stardust is one of my favorites - if you like The Princess Bride you will probably like Stardust too.

My husband got me the complete BBC James Herriot series the last time I was pregnant. It was great! This time he got me Planet Earth with a set of other documentaries. Several weeks of exhausted television watching in one go! My toddler likes Planet Earth, too. Though I have to be a bit careful when sharks start eating seals...

(Yum! Maeryn, fried green tomatoes sound amazingly good right now!)

We are currently watching the extended Lord of the Rings trilogy. We have also been watching the Angel series from the beginning (netflix instant access). I eighty-seventh the Away We Go recommendation. Princess Bride. One of the funniest movies I have ever seen was Super Troopers but it is crude and rude and lots of drug humor but I laughed so hard I cried. Emma. Also second Love, Actually but I didn't care for Valentine's Day which tried to have a similar feel but flopped imho. 4 Weddings and a Funeral? Enchanted was really entertaining and whimsical.

Good thread! I have more movies to put on our netflix list! Yay!

Whale Rider
Billy Elliot
Monsoon Wedding (there's a reference to abuse, but overall a total feel-good movie)
Strictly Ballroom
Bend it Like Beckham
In July
A Room With A View
Only You (a cheesy 90's movie that always makes me happy )

I loved that movie. I watched it early in my last pregnancy, and while it was a bit dark, it was also very touching and hilarious. Some of the pie names made me laugh so hard I cried.
