3+ days of positive OPKS?

Is it normal to have 3+ days of positive OPKs? I've never had more than 2 days before. It also seemed like at night time the OPK was neg, but the next day during the day ( i test around 2pm) it was back to positive..at least on the last day. Any thoughts?

they will peter out at night, some say after 7 pm, some say after 10 pm. i wouldnt test later than 8 pm. 3 days isnt crazy long. if you normally have 2 days pos, i wouldnt worry about a problem- when you get into 4+ days, it can be a sign of pcos. it is possible to have opks pos as an hpt if you are pregnant, but it wouldnt go negative at night and then pos again either, so that's not likely. keep checking them though- once they are pos, i personally only check them once a day, mid day. i like to know when they go negative, because even with a long surge, you still may not o until 48 hrs after the LAST pos, so it's good to know when that was!

I'm not even sure if this would cause that, but perhaps you had a 2nd surge and ovulated for a 2nd time? Be careful - could end up with twins!

Sheesh I just came of 5 days of dark +opks last week. It was my first positive since dd was born (prob b/c we just night-weaned). I don't know if it was just a freak thing, or if there is any connection between a huge surge and the first ppaf possibly being around the corner.

As far as it going negative for a bit, maybe your urine was very diluted? Did you drink a lot of fluids in the hours before testing?

There was also another lady on here who had 4 days of pos OPKs and it turned out that she was pg and it was picking up the HCG.
