Help!

I night weaned my 19 month old DS about 3 months ago. It went much smoother than I expected and he was doing really well, sometimes needing to be patted back to sleep. If he asked to nurse i would just tell him the milk was sleeping and he'd go back to sleep. He usually slept until 7am. Oh and we co-sleep. Well about a week ago he started waking at 5:30 demanding to nurse. Nothing I can do will deter him. He will crawl all over me, pull at my shirt, cry, kick, etc. I finally give in because I'm not ready to wake up. Problem is, he will not unlatch and any attempt I make at unlatching him only pisses him off and he starts the kicking stuff again. He nurses for 1 1/2 hours straight. And it's not a gentle suckle, it's very aggressive sucking. My nipples are super sensitive right now and there's no way I can sleep through it. I'm 7 months pregnant and need my sleep! This is exhausting me!

So I need suggestions on how to get my little tyrant back to sleeping until 7. My DH and sister say I need to just cold turkey wean. That is not an option! Neither of us are ready to wean. So what do you guys think I should do? Just get him up at 5:30? if I refuse to nurse he will wake up. Help, I'm exhausted!

Doesn't anyone have any advice for a sleep deprived mom?

We fully weaned DS because of this (well, this was one issue) We do raw milk and started giving him that in a bottle during the day and only doing breastmilk at bedtime. One night he just didn't want to nurse and that was it. *shrugs*
