I'm not sure if I should put this here or in health and healing, so I'm starting here!
DS is 3 and intact. For the past few months he's been doing the "standard thing" and retracting his own foreskin. I gotta tell ya, it is SO NEAT to see what intact little boys do... it's all so natural and you really do see what foreskins are for.
Anyway, today he was retracting it while in the tub and I noticed that the part where the foreskin attaches to the head of the penis seemed to have a bit of blood on it. I asked him if it hurt and he said it was fine. Is this just a normal part of what happens when they're fiddling with their foreskin?
Also, at what point do we start instructing him on how to clean it, now that he's retracting?? It looks like he's able to retract it all the way, or almost.
And one last thing- since he's retracting in the tub, should we be refraining from allowing extra soap to be in the tub? He likes bubbles and I'm afraid he soap will get in there and irritate things.
Thanks!
