ds loves these apple chips i get at whole foods. the only ingredients are apples in one type & apples and cinnamon in another. at $4 for about 2 ounces though, they are outrageously priced!!!! can't imagine it's hard to do these in an oven myself, would love to know exactly how OR if someone knows of an online source to order these for cheaper that'd be great too.

I think I recall my mom dehydrating apples once when I was a kid. They were sliced really thin so they turned out more like chips than chewy dried apple bits. iykwim
Maybe you could get your hands on a good dehydrator and give it a whirl.

I use a dehydrator. I slice the apples thinly, sprinkle a little cinnamon on and dry until they are crispy.

i should've mentioned that i don't have a dehydrator, so if anyone knows how to do them without one that'd be great.

Maybe low temp in the oven??
I've never tried to use the oven for something like apple chips before.
Let us know how it works for you and GL!

you can do sun-dried tomatoes in the oven so I don't see why you can't do apples--getting the moisture out is the big thing and super thin
