quick PPD advice

Hi
I was hoping someone can help me out with some quick PPD advice.

A little backround, my oldest daughter, who is partially vaccinated is starting college. My other two daughters are not at all. Well for camps, school, etc I fill out the immunization form as if they were so avoid any issues. I guess when filling out my daughter's medical forms for college I completely missed the immunization form. I was able to fill it all out except for the PPD section which needs to be done within 1 year of inrollment. They want lab reports, help!! Also they want to know the mm induration and if she received a INH, which I do not know what that is. They also want the date planted and read. From my research anything under 2mm is negative and it should be read between 48 and 72 hours. If I recall when she was a child there were no lab reports the dr. just gave it and said to watch it for changes and to call if any.

Any advice would be great and as quick as possible as they will not let her move in without this form.

Thanks in advance for any responses!!

Since this isn't vaccine related I'm moving to H&H.

Is there any reason why you object to your daughter being tested for TB?

Several universities in the US have seen outbreaks of vaccine-preventable diseases in dorms in the last few years. It would be better for your daughter's health if you acknowledged her as unvaxed and claimed a religious exemption instead of lying and forging test results for her enrollment forms.

I'm not sure what advice you're looking for (your post reads as though you're looking for help forging test results, but I'm sure that can't be right), but my advice is to find a health care practitioner to administer a PPD. Your city or county health department may be the easiest place to have it done.

Tuberculosis can be a serious problem in shared/institutional housing situations, so it makes sense to me that they're requiring evidence of a clear PPD.

INH is Isoniazid which is a drug precribed to patients who have had a skin test that has recently become abnormal (demonstrating recent infection with tuberculosis) but a normal chest x-ray (demonstrating inactive infection).

I think the school is just asking for proof of a PPD. If you object to your daughter getting one, an X-ray or quantiferon blood test are other options you can persue or you can try and file an exemption (if you are filing one for vaccines, just include the TB test in there as it is an injected material)
