chafing? rash? what to do?

looking for MDC wisdom. My almost 10 month old has developed red eczema like marks on his inner thighs. i think he developed this from the bunching up of sugar peas that i use to use. we use pre-folds now (bikini twist) so there is the least amount of rubbing from his diapers. he is diaper free a lot as we practice EC pt. i have tried breastmilk, lanolin & aquaphor. nothing is healing this. it's itchy to him too. he had this when he was a chubby infant and one of the three would have always cleared him up. but now he is so mobile that i think the redness doesn't get a chance to heal. i would like to use something natural if possible. we use charlie's soap (and have used this his whole life) so i don't think that this is a detergent build up. any suggestions?

Not sure if it is the same, but that is where my son was always getting a heat rash and then a diaper rash. I tried every diaper cream out there and even put him in sposies for a couple of days not knowing if it was the diapers. Nothing worked. We went diaper free too. This went on and off (but more on) for months. The ped said it looked like normal diaper rash (no yeast or infection). He also would scratch it any chance he got.
Two weeks ago, I finally tried corn starch (my sister recommended) and I swear, we have not seen it since.
Do you think it's from heat? If so, maybe give it a shot, but I did read that if there is a yeast problem, the corn starch is bad.

i don't think that it's a yeast problem. we just had a WBV and the doctor saw it, but didn't seem concerned. how would i know if it was yeast?

how do you apply cornstarch? maybe i will try this on a little spot to see what happens.

We tested a little spot at first, too.
The easiest way to apply it is dabbing some on your finger and just patting/rubbing it on. Such a little spot anyway. We notice a difference by the next day. Unless you have an old salt shaker or something. I imagine that would be nice.
