Normal growth?

My DS's birthday is July 2006. He's four years old. Today all three of my kids had a well check and my Mother was in with my boys for half the time because I was with my daughter while she got a vaccination. It's relevant because that's why I didn't get this info...

When I got home I looked at my sheet and it says DS weighed 31 lbs on 9/09 and was in the 50th %ile and today 8/10 he weighed only 34 lbs. 36th %ile. That's a big drop in his growth curve IMO but maybe it's normal.

Any help? I'll of course call his ped if necessary but I wasn't sure if this is normal or not.

TIA!

My son has his school physical today and I wanted to know what his height and weight were from last year to compare to this year. He has not grown at all and has actually lost 2 pounds. I was talking to his ped about this as I was a tad concerned and he said that he is fine. He looks and is healthy. He is just very hyper and active so he runs all his calories off. Lucky kid! I would't worry about it at all. My son is 44 inches and 43 pounds. He turns 6 in a few months.

Thank you so much. That's what I needed to hear. My ped also said my DS looks healthy and he is a very healthy kid overall...and yeah...very active.

Thank you!
