This time last year I was counting down the days to the birth if my first child. With the help of the ladies on this forum I found the most wonderful midwives. Since then we have relocated to our new farm in Sullivan County...just 20 minutes from Bethel, in Hurleyville.

I just found out that I'm pregnant with #2, and need to find a homebirth midwife who serves my region. So far I have only come across one, the River Mountain Midwives in Ulster.

Any recommendations would be appreciated. I am also looking for pediatrician in the area who is delayed/no-vax. friendly.

Thanks in advance!

Did you ever find a home birth midwife in Sullivan county? I am pregnant with my 4th and have had 3 hospital births and would love to try a home birth, but the nearest midwives I am finding are down in New Paltz and Olivebridge which are Olivebridge midwifery and River and mountain midwives. I was wondering if you found anyone closer. I have no idea if you are even going to see this since the post was over a year and a half ago.

I know this is way late, but I wanted to put it out there in case anyone else in the area is searching. I used Lisa (Robertson) Gambini, formally of Pond Eddy, now Honesdale, PA (just over the border). She is excellent and I highly recommend her. I am not quite sure that she still attends NY births because of current licensing regulations but she can and will provide referrals.
