BD Timing

Is it best to BD every day, or every other day? I know that sperm can live 5-6 days, so I'm trying to figure out when our best times would be. I typically O on CD 15 or 16. Unfortunately, this is only my third cycle charting, so I don't have a lot of historical data. I will take OPKs, but those aren't exact predictors, either.

I don't want to overthink this, but I do want to give us the best chances possible. I'm thinking it might be best to BD on CD11, 12, 14 and 15 to give us the best chances. I'm worried about waiting until CD16 and then finding out I O'ed on CD15 -- especially since BD on CD 14 and 15 should still catch a CD16 O. What do you think?

The best day to BD is the day before O. Since it's not an exact science (it's hard to actually pinpoint the actual hour of O), the best bet is to make sure you do it cd 14, 15, and 16, in my opinion. And every other day leading up to that is good. Also, best time to BD is when you have good egg-white cervical fluid. That's the stuff spermies love to live in!

I don't think it makes too much difference statistically--I remember reading somewhere that it's like two percentage points. Either way, you should be pretty well covered.

When I got pregnant we BD'd on CD17, 18, and 19. I thought I O'd midpoint as I was always a 28 day cycler but FF showed me I was actually later. When I'm getting the chart that shows fertility and EWCM and I keep thinking I'm O'ing I'll BD every day for three days in a row to be sure to catch it. Then we BD once early just in case and once late just in case. During my pregnant cycle it was O on CD18 and BD on CD15, 17, 18, 19, 21. Until the chart confirmed O I wasn't sure when it occurred.
