Anyone use these manipulatives without the actual program? I feel like they are a bit costly to keep if you are not going to use the program, but I did get them used and can probably resell them later for what I purchased them. I went ahead and went forth with MUS for my 6 and 8 yr old. The 6 yr old hated it (but he is in a hating everything phase) and my 8 yr old loved it. But the 8 yr old already has mastered all but 6 units of Gamma and about 8 of Delta so I am not sure if I will even continue with him.
What do you think? Should I just keep the manipulatives regardless of what curriculum I stay with? (I am thinking I might continue with the program we had been using, just letting them use the manipulatives from MUS for it since they like the blocks, reason for going back to the old curriculum is I do not want to have the entire Gamma and Delta levels when we will be using only 15-20% of each book, the conservationist in me does not want to do that).
