fall schedule

Okay, I usually see this thread around this time of year and it's lots of fun. What is everyone's fall schedule like? Mine looks like this:

ds(almost 6): first grade this year! So he will be in school until 3:25. He is also doing soccer.
dd(4): preschool 3 mornings a week, plus dance one morning.
me: flute lessons, teach two music classes one morning a week, volunteer at preschool/school.

I think that we'll also take swim lesssons on Saturday mornings at the Y, and make it a family thing/

DD (almost 4) and DS (15 months) are both starting a Mother's Day Out program for the first time, so we're trying to limit their other activities. It goes from 9 am-1:30 pm, but I think we'll need to work up to that long of a time. We probably will start with just going for a couple of hours each time and gradually extend it.

DD: MDO on M, W, F mornings. It is from 9am-1:30 pm, but we will probably need to gradually work up to having them go for that long.

DS: MDO on M, F and Kindermusik on M evenings (maybe--we'll see if this is too much since it's on a MDO day)

Me: Work 5 hrs per week while kids are at MDO, take a yoga class either on M or F morning, book group at church once a month, and LLL meeting once a month

Me & DH: babysitter is coming most Saturday afternoons, so we will have a regular "date" time for the first time in 4 years!!

You really want to see mine? I do drop off and pick up every day at school

Monday: DD1 and DD2 school 8:30-3pm, I have meetings 3 mornings a month (one volunteer, 2 for a very part time job I do) 3:30PM Tap for DD1

Tuesday: DD1 school 8:30-3pm gymnastics 4:30-5:30pm

Wed: DD1 and DD2 school, swim team at 3:30 while the rest of us play at the pool

Thursday: school for DD1, 9am gymnastics for DD2, 4:15 tap for DD2, 4:30 gymnastics for DD2

Friday: school

I work some hours here and there, mostly all from home and am starting grad school all online for right now. I have to volunteer at the school and with a non-profit I also run on the side. Weekends are chores around house, kayaking until the water gets too cold. We now will have a family member in a nursing home 20 miles away so I will have to squeeze about two visits in a week. 1y DS just tags along on most things except my work meetings and then he stays with a sitter.

4 kids grades 10th, 7th, 4th and 1st. I've not gotten to the busiest yet but for now. My dh just deployed this month. My oldest is away for the summer till next month and may hs when she comes home. She's still deciding between hs and ps. 7th grader (dd2) wants to join guitar and gymnastics. 4th grader (ds) started football this month. It's wed-fri from 5:30-7:30 and 10-12 on sat. My 1st grader (dd3) wants to do soccer, swimming and gynastics. They will start sep.

Hoping to do some volunteer work during the day but nothing scheduled yet. School just started 3 days ago.

I'm really dreading our new fall schedule. Here's what we have (we homeschool):

The teenagers: They each have at least 2 college classes each day + one of them works 30ish hours a week. Mostly the one who drives is able to do all the back & forth but at least 3 days a week she won't be able to so I will have to make sure that the other gets to classes and (hopefully! eventually!) a job. Tae kwon do at least 3x a week, but they are in same class as dh. They are also both finishing up a few subjects at home that I need to oversee/plan.

The littles: Science class for one on Tuesday, the other on Thursday. Speech therapy for the youngest on Monday & Thursday, Five in a Row group on Wednesdays. Co-op for both on Friday. Tae kwon do at least 3x a week, but they are in different classes, so it's two hours each class, plus travel time. Somewhere in here we manage to do schoolwork and play with friends at least a couple times a week.

Amongst all that I spend about three hours a day in the kitchen and do at least two loads of laundry a day and have a solid hour of cleaning. It's definitely a full schedule!

I'm not sure on days yet... But DD is going to do ballet once a week, and both kids are going to be doing chinese classes.

this will be my first fall as a sahm. my kids are almost 5, almost 3, and almost 1. we plan to go to a MOPS (mothers of preschoolers group) every other tuesday morning, and bible study on the tuesdays in between (both provide 2 hrs of childcare while the moms meet). wednesday mornings we'll be going to story/craft time at the library. wednesday evenings my 2 older ones will be going to AWANA at church, and i'll hang out in the nursery with my little one. we are doing preschool homeschool, so my oldest will be attending a homeschool co-op on fridays for 8 weeks (music, science). we will be "doing school" every day that my husband works (usually 4 days per week)....and going out and about on the days he's off (shopping, fun places, whatever). i'm also volunteering to be the publicity coordinator for my mops group this year, and i'm volunteering in the church nursery on sundays while my kids are in their classes.

I was meaning to start a thread about how many activities would be too much for 5.5yr old who is starting grade one and being in school full days for the first time.

We have a great piano lesson program at the school, so we will be signing up for that once a week. DD is also signed up for ballet on Saturday morning.

DS (4) will be in preschool MWF mornings, and I signed him up for a floor hockey class on Fri afternoons, which switches to soccer, then Tball as the year progresses. I'm trying to figure out what else to put him in, but don't want him to get ahead of DD in things like swimming or skating, as she would feel put out by that in addition to the extra 'mommy time' he is getting while she's at school. I will have all day Tu and Thu, plus Mon/Wed pm at home with him. I'm seeing what else is available for him to take - maybe music classes?

We will also likely be going ice skating as a family either Sat or Sun afternoon most weeks.

DD is going to preschool M, W, F. We're trying to find a dance class and I think I'll take her to a music thing at the local arts center--they have a kid program that introduces instruments.

And she will have physical therapy either every week or every other week.

It's going to be so busy! DD sleeps later now and getting to preschool by 9am is going to be tough.

Yeah, really. We're having our hottest, driest August on record. I can't wait for true autumn to get here.

I work very part-time - one evening a week and one morning.

Dd is in 3rd grade. She leaves the house at 7.15 and returns at 4PM M-F, with once-a-week horseback riding lessons and once-a-month Brownies.

I have nothing but work and some volunteering. We very purposely keep our schedule low-key and I personally think that over-scheduling is detrimental (to mommy and kids both). We like to sit down to a from-scratch meal every evening. The one evening I work is usually something I make ahead and my mom (who lives with us) finishes off and the 3 of them eat together.

DD started KG this year so she has that 8-2pm every weekday. Other than that we do Monday craft-time at the library 4-5pm, and Thursday gymnastics 3-4pm.

With DS, I just go to a breastfeeding group on Wednesday mornings. Other than that, he occupies himself. Good thing he's simple!

We don't care for too many extra activities. We have plenty here to do!

Mon-Fri we do our normal school stuff, take care of our little farm (lots of outside time!), our inside chores, and practice violin and piano.

Sat and Sunday we do things as a family, either here or there, doesn't matter as long as we are doing it together.

Sunday afternoon and evening are for violin lessons and cooking outside on our big firepit and swimming! We'll still be swimming until October!

Fall afternoons and weekends will be filled with lots of outside time (since it's SO hot here in the very long summer!), apple picking and preserving, and pumpkin picking and preserving. And starting little things for our Holiday baskets! (we make vanilla, vinegars, etc.-things that need awhile to make)
