That answer changes for me quite often. Right now, I'd say BG Flip or BG One-size pocket. I prefer the suedecloth to fleece - I find it keeps DS drier. The Flips are nice and trim and easy to pack in a diaper bag.
We have a FB OS, and I think he will have outgrown it by 12 months at this rate.
I also love bamboo dipes and prefolds, but DS needs polyester next to his skin or he gets rashy. So even though I was planning on using mainly prefolds with him, I've had to change my strategy.
I think it's probably worthwhile trying a trial pack if you can.
