Documentaries/Resources pertaining to going TV Free?

Are there documentaries/books/resources on this subject? We just canceled our cable because we don't watch TV. However, we occasionally watch movies together and I also work out to videos.

I don't know of any documentaries - but here is a website.

Most of the stuff that I know of is about the noxious effects of TV, not on the practicalities of going TV free.

In particular, the Campaign for a Commercial Free Childhood has some good resources: the movie "Consuming Kids", and the book of the same name, as well as the book "The case for make believe".

Check out The Big Turnoff by Ellen Currey-Wilson. It's the story of a mom raising a TV-free kid and trying to break out of her own TV addiction. It's a quick and fun read.
