CD'ing on the go

How do you CD on the go?
We are planning on using cloth wipes, I have them all ready to go (dry) in a reuseable wipes container. We are thinking of using squirt bottles of some sort (one for water, one with homemade wipes solution) on our dresser that we are using as the diaper changing station.

How to package all this up when we leave the house? Do you use bottles for solution/water or presoak your cloth wipes?

Thanks!

We use cloth wipes too. I do not presoak because I fear they'd get icky before I used them. When at home I have a bowl of water that I dip them in right before use. When we're out, I just wet the wipe in the bathroom sink where I'm changing her. Then we throw dirty diaper and wipe into the wetbag.

We use prefolds/flats with snappi and cover when at home, but it seems like I always forget some part of that equation in my diaper bag, so instead I now stock my diaper bag with a few pockets so I don't forget anything!

I would moisten wipes before heading out- part of the "heading out the door" routine was to moisten wipes, put them in the travel container/ziplock baggie and put the container in the diaper bag, along with making sure there were enough clean diapers and a bag for the dirties.

For a while, I used disposable wipes while traveling and cloth wipes at home, or kept a travel pack of disposable wipes as my back-up in case I forgot to moisten cloth ones that day. I think maybe I bought a filled travel pack, used those sposie wipes, then refilled with cloth when it was empty.

we use disposable wipes, tbh. We have a ton left from what we stocked up on when we did 'sposie diaps.

as for diapers, I use whatever, though tend to use grobaby or flips when we are out.

We used to pre-moisten before we left home and put them in a small wetbag or ziplock. But...then I got lazy, so now we use disposable wipes out and about. I like having the disposable ones, because I use them to wipe down surfaces too while out and about (might not do anything, but makes me feel better). We mostly use pockets, but sometimes fitteds/prefolds and covers. Depends on where we're going and how I'm feeling.

I have a little squirt bottle in my diaper bag, or I use my own water bottle because I am one of those people who always has water with her I also have disposable wipes and diapers in my bag. As I type this, I realize why my diaper bag is so heavy!

For our nb with runny bf poo, I like to use a spray bottle with solution in it. I spray it on the wipe as I'm using it, or sometimes directly on baby's bum. Works great and no extra mess.

As for packing, I just put all the clean dipes/wipes in one bag, and have a dry bag for the dirty ones, and keep disposable "doggy" bags in my diaper bag to use while out. I then empty the soiled dipes into the large dry-bag that I keep tied up until I have enough to wash. This worked pretty well while visiting my parents for a week recently. Fortunately, they didn't mind my washing diapers in their laundry.

I made the desicion about 2 months ago to not use prefolds and covers while we were out. So, before we get ready to go, I put inserts in all the diaper covers. Then I put 10 cloth wipes in a pouch of the diaper bag. I carry a metal spray bottle (it sprays, doesnt squirt). I also carry a prefold to change her on, because we lost our changing pad. I think keeping the wipes dry is great, because i also use them for spit up. I do use disposable wipes for poo when Im out.

I use either a water bottle (in summer) or a small insulated thermos with warm water (in winter) and wet as I need to. There isn't always a bathroom or sink readily available (like in the van) and this seems to work really well.
