Magic Cabin Just my size kitchen

Hello,

I´m looking for a nice affordable wooden kitchen set for my 2 year old. I saw this red painted little kitchen called "just my size kitchen" at Magic Cabin and Hearthsong and called and asked about it. They said they had it made in China and it is made of rubberwood. I don´t see anything about the paint. Does anyone have one of these and how do they like it? I´m paranoid about toy safety but can´t really afford the domestic wooden ones like those at palumba. Would this one be ok? Thanks!

I am not sure but we have the palumba kitchen and fridge and LOVE it! (we pooled everyone's gift money together to get it) They got the kitchen 1 yr then the fridge the next. They used to have really cool sink and stove kitchens that were much cheaper. Maybe call them and see. I would buy from palumba any day over a made in china toy. They are heirloom quality!

Have you seen the little Haba cooktop? We are short on space and picky about toy quality too. It stores nicely in the sturdy box (the "oven") and there is room for more.

http://www.jilliansdrawers.com/produ...habaplaycooker this is much cheaper than other places.

Personally, I wouldn't buy it if it was MIC. I just don't trust paint and suspect the rubberwood is the vendor's attempt to green-wash jump on Plan Toys reputation.
