anyone have a thrombosed hemorrhoid removed?

I am pregnant, so I think my options are limited with treatment. I have had one before non-pregnant (I had one 4 years ago) and know it will go away with time, but this time I am pregnant and have a 3 year old and can't walk or sleep because of pain. The pain is also making sick to my stomach again.

I have stopped the medication that was causing the constipation, so that is not the issue anymore - my BM are fine, I am just wondering if I should go ahead and get it removed/drained or wait it out. My IL are watching my child and then DH has to take over completely at night and I feel pretty bad about it.

I would highly recommend going to the acupuncturist. I had a majorly painful hemorrhoid that kept getting worse. Like you I could barely walk (I wasn't pregnant though) and with the acupuncturist, it burst naturally and the pain was greatly relieved. i also went to the acupuncturist when pregnant with my 3rd with terrible allergies and it helped a ton! It also almost completely took away all the tension I would store in my shoulders! I was a believer after that! Hope you find some relief soon! It's pretty terrible

Well it started to bleed on it's own, however, I had to get it removed via surgery at the ER. It's pretty painful and bloody and I am not looking forward to going to the bathroom. It happened a few hours after I posted and was not able to call anyone to get help in time. Can't take any pain meds, but it's starting to fell a little better, the bleeding is just freaking me out since it's not a place that normal bleeds!

Sorry you had to go through all that but hope it heals up quickly and you can be back to normal soon. Maybe some homeopathic Arnica 30c could help reduce the pain/swelling and help it heal? I've had great results using Arnica for all kinds of "traumas" and I know it's supposed to be especially effective after surgery. It's also completely safe for pregnancy so that might be an option for you. You can usually find it at most natural stores and many regular drug stores too. All the best mama!

I'd love to get it, if I could drive, lol! Witch hazel has become my friend. i have gone to the bathroom comfortably without pain or bleeding and the pain has subsided so it's just a little uncomfortable now, but much better than before I had the surgery. so I am hoping to be better in the next day or so. Thanks for the info, I should buy it to keep on hand.

Oh good..glad it's better! Yes I keep Arnica on hand for everything from bumps and nasty bruises to fingers getting pinched, falling off the play structure at the playground, etc. Pretty much any trauma, shock, bad fall and/or bruising, etc. With 3 kiddos 5 & under I use it a lot! I keep one in my purse at all times
