help!! my hands

So a few weeks ago I noticed the skin on the inside of my hands/some on the outside was peeling - kind of like after a sunburn? Well, 2 weeks later they are STILL peeling and it's getting worse. My fingers/hands feel stiff; the skin looks leathered, almost like I've aged? I know that sounds weird but it's the only way I can describe it.

It's still peeling, but they generally feel very dry, and very stiff, and VERY uncomfortable. And it's only on my hands and I haven't come in contact with anything new -same soap, clothes, etc.

Any idea what the heck is going on?

I don't have any definitive answer for you, but this happens to my husband 1-2 times a year, and it usually coincides with when his allergies (seasonal, environmental) are bad. Do you have allergies? Ragweed is horrible around here right now...
His hands peel and sting, sometimes itching and burning.

No idea either, my son (7) has this happen to his feet from time to time. I don't know why.

That happens to my mom and she has excema.
