Anyone battling chronic back issues while PG?

Ugh, I've always had sciatic issues but about 2 years ago I herniated my L5 disc in my lower back. I'm always able to manage it well with the help of my chiropractor and stretching but a few days ago it flared up and OMG I forgot what that pain feels like. I've been to my chiro every day and using moist heat and it's getting a tiny bit better each day but it's still "take my breath away" pain when I get up from sitting or laying for a long period of time or if I turn a certain way.

Anyone else going through this? What do you do for maintenance and pain management? I can't imagine going through this again during this pregnancy.

I have a herniated disc as well and it is horrible. I've had it through 3 pregnancies - it actually started to get really bad right before I found out I was pregnant with #1 (like I had xrays and MRI that cycle and THEN found out I was pregnant, I was so sick I'm not sure how I managed that one...)
I do have a prescription of tylenol #3 or vicodin for when I cannot walk/put pressure on my legs/move. I don't take it often.
I haven't gone to a chiro yet - my insurance now covers it so I might look into it.

I ended up doing physical therapy at my local hospital 2 days per week during my last pregnancy for lower back pain. It really helped!
