How would you handle childcare for this?

I will be working Friday to Monday starting in October. We have a day home space lined up Friday and Monday and DH will be with the kids Saturday and Sunday. The only problem is that DH is a military reservist and will be off on military exercises one weekend a month. I was thinking either of hiring a high school student to babysit or try to rearrange my working hours on those weeks and have the kids stay with their regular day home. On one hand, a consistent caregiver would be way easier for the baby. On the other hand, I don't want to be the p.i.t.a. employee/day home customer. I'm the only part timer in my department and I don't want to be 'that' working mom. WWYD?

I would look for a nanny (high school or college student, maybe a friend's nanny who wants to pick up some extra hours) to cover the Saturday and Sunday when you will be working and your DH out of town.

You might also check with your dayhome provider, she/he may be willing to take the children on those weekends.
