High chlorine content of evaporated palm sugar?

I was recommending evaporated palm sugar to a friend of mine, since it is low glycemic, and she looked it up and found it to have extremely high chlorine levels. I checked and it is true - is this the same toxic chlorine that we try to avoid, or, as a micronutrient, is this chlorine ok?

High chlorine content of evaporated palm sugar?

I checked the nutrient content, and evaporated coconut palm sugar is much higher in all micronutrients than cane sugar, agave, etc, including chlorine; however, it is an electrolyte needed by the body. http://www.mii.org/periodic/LifeElement.html#cl is a good explanation
