So, we just had our well drilled out this week (which means we actually have water for the first time, *EVER*!! Used to just be 60' deep, now its 180' deep w/ 5.5 gallon refill rate.. vs, oh, idk, maybe 1/2-1 gallon refill rate before...), which is freaking awesome and super super exciting... But, after the guy was done, he chlorinated it for us to kill any/all the nasties that got in it while he was drilling. Which, you know, does make a certain amount of sense... but I'm just wondering how long its going to take for it to not smell nasty and chlorinated??

I ran it dry earlier and let it refill and have used lots and lots and lots of water (an absolutely insane amount, from my perspective... if we had this much water in a week I'd have been surprised...), wasting most of it (which makes me feel frigging awful, especially considering how bloody precious it was just 5 days ago...). I just really want it to not stink/taste like chemicals though!! So... anyone have an experience on this?? I'm thinking about X/Ping in country living...
