doz flats
2pk dappi sm
1 prowrap sm
1 OS blueberry coverall (cuz I can't resist!!!)
1 snappi
50$
Did you have some prefolds? or were you waiting to get them?

I'm not sure I'd do a dozen flats - esp. if your kiddo tends to be bigger (is that right? I dunno if it was you who mentioned something about that) (my dd's have been small & I love flats - got more this time around too - hemp to use for inserts later on - I'd go with 6 max starting out) Coverwise - you've got a good amount for size small ( on treating yourself to the blueberry). I'd just cut down on the flats (you can always pick up or use baby blankets as flats if you like too, to save $ and have cute patterns).

I'll add that I really like the thirsties duo diapers you were wondering about before (haven't used the wraps but I've seen other people who really like those) - they're pretty well priced, I can reuse the inserts with other stuff later, and mostly they fit and last pretty well so far. I've also made some great finds from places that do sell used diapers (nicki's diapers does) and on our craigslist, so if you've got a fixed budget I'd make sure you're checking places like that regularly - you might be able to stretch your diapering budget really well that way. (also - diaperware has free shipping for $50 which is a good deal, and a good sale right now - not that you need more places to look and wonder what to get at ).

I thought flats were sort of one size? Someone mentioned trying those instead of prefolds as they'd fit longer?

I know I just need to make a decision! I keep flitting from one thing to another, lol.

Flats are one-size yes, but generally not as absorbent as prefolds (so, say. . generally a better daytime diaper than all-purpose anytime imo).

Most of our prefolds are premium size (the 4x8x4), so work throughout diapering (just more bulky in infancy - mostly just the first 2 months). I really never bothered buying other sizes so I don't really think of prefolds as sized (had maybe 6 infant prefolds that only lasted 3 months - I only ended up with more with dd2 from buying a boxful of small dipes off craigslist).

Oh, I see...

You know, really, I have studied this out and all--I think PP hormones are making it hard for me to think and make decisions, lol.

So I think I'm going to go ahead and spend 60$ on the LL--gettting a dozen prefolds instead of flats. If I don't like them I can sell them. I just really want to get him out of these sposies...

ETA: if he's around 10 lbs now, what size seconds prefold do I order? Infant? Premium?

Seriously, I'm sorry for all the silly questions! I feel like such an idiot, lol...

Take the plunge & make your order!

(I hear you on making decisions there PP-wise. . . but really - you'll be fine! Do it and be happy!)

Thanks, Mumkimum! So just this last question on which size pf seconds? See my ETA above--thanx!

premium pfs don't usually fit until 15-16lbs & then they are still pretty bulky.
