Hey ladies, my 13 month old DS was doing really well with his EC'ing until about November (when he started teething heavily) and from that time on the BBJ and toilet reducer have gotten to be a big issue for him. I know I remember reading about this a few months back on another thread; do you gals remember which one it was? And what they did? And how it worked? DS wont even let me put him on the potty now. And if he does get put on the potty (because I think he needs to go) he will wait until I take him off to go. No matter how long I wait and no matter how many times I take him off/put him on over and over he'll wait till I'm ready to put his diaper on and then he'll go on the floor or in his new diaper. I try and make it a positive thing but he cries and wants off or he just points around the bathroom at stuff. So frustrating! He wont tell me when he's got to go. He wont give signs that he needs to go. Should I try a new sign for potty? Were using the fist one w/ the thumb tucked. One gal mentioned her daughter patted her bum when she needed to go...how'd that work out? Do we need to take a break from the potty/toilet reducer? Suggestions?
