Question for those that took zofran

Did you feel a little worse after stopping it? Like was there a rebound or withdrawal from stopping it?

I weaned off slowly as I could, taking 1/2 dosage for a week, then 1/4 pill (2 mg a day) for a few days. I stopped on Wed, and I stopped because I was not dry heaving or sensitive to smells or anything anymore and I couldn't take the constipation. I have noticed that slowly I am starting to feel a little sick to my stomach and been dry heaving and sensitive to smells again. I can eat, so I am planning on staying off it, but just wondering if that was typical. I am hoping it doesn't get worse.

I took it with my second kid, but I quit cold turkey when my second or third bottle ran out because I was still vomiting every time I ate. Hope someone else has some more relevant info for you...

It just sounds like your morning sickness hasn't gone away. The zofran was keeping it at bay so now that you've stopped, your feeling the morning sickness.

Have you tried Unisom? I have morning sickness all throughout my pregnancies (I'm unlucky that way) and Unisom has worked pretty well for me. I still occasionally take a zofran when I'm really sick, but usually the Unisom is enough. I too get horrible constipation from the zofran.

I was sick last time until 26 weeks, I was hoping it wouldn't last as long this time, since it was so bad this time. I started taking 50 mg of b6 now which I think is actually helping, it didn't in the beginning. My stomach still gets yucky feeling once in a while though.

I stopped my zofran a few weeks ago. When I say stopped, I mean I am not taking it regularly. I still take them occasionally. Maybe every 4 days or so, when I have to go somewhere for a while and feel gaggy. The zofran doesnt take away my nausea, but it stops that gaggy feeling. You know the one. It also settles my stomach when its rumbling like it wants to get sick. But when I stop it I dont feel worse.I just take it when I am feeling super bad. Do you have phenergan? Or you could take benadryl.

Yes, I had withdrawal for 2 days and then was fine. I think I waited till 14 weeks to stop to make sure that the 1st trimester nausea would be past.
