We live in petaluma and are planning a home birth. i just now read about the benefits of the placenta. I had really bad ppd with dd and I would do anything to not have it again! especially now with a toddler and newborn.

I tried google and I will also ask our midwife at the next visit, but thought I'd ask here too.

Not sure hwo it works i assume you put it in a freezer bag and then deliver it over to someone who will make capsules out of it for you?

what the cost range for this? any recs for someone in sonoma co?

Sorry Mama, I'm all the way down in LA county otherwise I would be happy to do it for you!
Since you're having a HB, your midwife will double back it after you deliver. You can store it in the fridge. I usually go pick it up from the Mama's, but some may have you bring it to them.
Cost varies, but down here it's anywhere from 150 to 250.
