Got some already felted wool dryer balls off ebay. The maker described them as if she knew what she was doing. I used all 4 yesterday, they're only about 2-3 inches (smaller than a tennis ball, kinda like a clementine orange), and dried my all cotton load on low as usual, but it took the usual 50 minutes. I checked at 25 minutes and 40 minutes, but they were still quite damp.

I don't know if they helped with static since I was washing hand me down clothes that had probably been used with fabric softner of some sort.

These balls feel light. I've never used dryer balls before, but I thought they should be heavier to really beat clothes (not just tumble right along with them?)? Am I doing something wrong?
