Do you have a favorite?
I'm thinking of doing this for my fixed circs http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/st..._SearchResults
But. . . it is so ugly.

I really just need something for my dpns and fixed circs. I never use straights and my harmony interchangables came with a case. I'd like it to be functional , portable and pretty. Great if it comes from a wahm.

Right now, I just have mine in a notebook. I got some plastic page protectors & printed out labels with the needle sizes on them, and just slipped the needles in. It's pretty functional & can just sit on a bookshelf, but it isn't very pretty.

I ended up getting a circ case and a dpn case from http://www.etsy.com/shop/slippedstitchstudios

Really excited to get them! She's got a lot of cute stuff.

Here is one I made: http://splityarn.typepad.com/split_y...fun_circu.html. I have not been knitting much this summer, so I can't speak to its functionality. It was an easy project though!!

I made one for myself. I felted a rectangle, then knit a complicated cable which I sewed to the felt rectangle. The double point needles stick through the cabling and then the whole thing is rolled up and tied with an i-cord. I like it a lot. As for the straights, I just rubber band the sizes together and store them in my yarn tub.

Do you have pics? That sounds awesome! I did buy a dpn case, but I"m not in love with it. The needles fall out and my ocd kicks in b/c I have to take them out of their original packaging. I have 15 sets of dpns, so the idea 15x5needles all loose sends me into a bit of a panic.

Thanks for the link. I;m not super motivated to sew, however.

I store mine in a couple make up cases, you know the kind you get for free with purchase. Many moons ago I worked and actually purchased make-up at Macy's and such. Now I am putting them to good use. They are zip top pouch style. I store my knitpics Options in a case with some extras. My smaller size fixed circs I keep in the original package for size info and all together in a cute make-up bag. As for dp and straights, I don't use them much, so I keep them in a mason jar on my dresser. I just use some elastics to keep the sizes together on the dp sets.

I'm always tempted by the cases. But what I have works well, and the cases are small and zip top, so they are great for on the go.
