Links or instructions for making kombucha

My spouse just recently started drinking (dairy) kefir to get some more healthy bacteria but I know he would drink it more often if we had either kombucha or water kefir. I've never considered making kefir myself so I don't know at all what goes into it however about two years ago, I did research how to make kombucha from information I found here. I can't find any of it now, suppose its too far back, so was wondering if you guys had any links or anything on how to DiY it since where I live most anything that is good for you is mad expensive *grumble grumble*

Although you can just get a SCOBY from someone and use that.....I managed to get the last bottle before the co-op cleared the shelf cause of the recall. A good place to get either a SCOBY or water or milk kefir grains is through the yahoo groups of the same name. people are always looking for or sharing their extras or looking to trade. Plus any questions you have can be answered by people with actual experience. Water kefir is my favorite.

Thanks! That's exactly what I was looking for. I hadn't thought of yahoo groups for this, which is kinda stupid of me. I used them for lots of things before I moved here.
