I started a journal in a relaxed manor about 2 weeks ago and I am thrilled at how much learning I caught before we are even 'trying'!
My children both still want me to 'teach' them some, so when the schools start up again, I plan to spend an hour or so with each of them in the mornings a few days a week, and we're doing a co-op with a Roots & Shoots community service group, Spanish, a Drama class/play production, and there's an art class sandwiched in there so I figured it would be fun, so one day a week we have some social learning, and the rest of the time we can do whatever we want.
I'm really hoping to be able to give enough of a record to show exh that learning is truly happening at an 'effective' level that he won't push for either a curriculum or a return to school, and my journal experiment is giving me lots of confidence!
How about everyone else?
