What else can I try???

Clomid gets me pregnant really easily but I don't really want to do that yet or would rather not at all.

I ovulate right on time, get my period every month right on the day I am supposed to..always..it is never late. Everything is perfect. Except I don't get pregnant.

It took 16 months and one round of clomid 50 mg to get pregnant the first time, 8 months and 2 rounds of clomid 50 mg the second time. We have been not preventing ever since we had dd2 22 months ago and have been activly trying for 4 months.

I have tried the soy isoflavones for 2 months, I varied the days and dosage each month with no luck.

What else can I try?

Have you given vitex a try? What about licorice root?

I got pg with DS by going to acupuncture. If you can afford it, it's totally worth it, and it is a huge stress reliever too. A good acupuncturist will also give herbs to take that are tailored for you personally.

I would be doing it right now if we lived anywhere close to one.

Did you take the Soy on the same days you previously took the Clomid? Also, the dosage could make a difference...

Can anyone tell me more about vitex and licorice root?

Yes I took the soy on the same days I did clomid. What dosage should I be taking? One time I did 100 mg and the next I did 150 I think. 50mg of clomid did it for me both times, I read somewhere you should take double the amount of soy..is that right?

How I used vitex:
I only took it after ovulation up until I got af or a bfp it helped me to have a nice long LP as well as helping to trigger a strong O the next cycle. I took the dose the bottle suggested think 2 pills once day but it has been awhile.

The Licorice root I used when I was ttc #2 I found out about it from a woman who had PCOS and was having trouble. While I dont have PCOS it worked for me.

You take it like clomid so for 5 days at the beginning of the cycle. I picked cd 3-7 though you can do it on other days if you wish like cd 5-9 or however. I also took the dose suggested on the bottle.

The only thing is if you have high blood pressure then you have to be careful with it since to high a dose can increase your bp.

Do you use tampons? I would stop using them if you do and see if it helps at all. It's purely anecdotal, but it seems that all of the super fertile people I know use pads...myself included. Couldn't hurt.

I also saw a show that explained that timing of orgasm is important. The female needs to have one about a minute or so after the male. The females O acts to bring the sperm up to where it needs to be.

This sounds really stupid, but it took 6m to get pregnant not doing it, and then another 3m not doing it and we conceived both months I did this - lay flat on your back with your hips tilted to get the sperm near the cervix or if you gave a tilted uterus, lay on your stomach for 30 min or so after sex - I swear, it really worked! I also would make sure to orgasm after dh.

Ok, I have done the whole elevate your hips, stand on your head, lay on your stomache thing about 32943874 times.

I have orgasmed at every possible time there is, I have done it before and after and both and more than once and nothing works.

I used to use tampons but haven't since I had my last dd, I don't know why...just stopped using them..so that can't be the reason.

I ovulate exactly on schedule..day 14-16 every single month. My period comes exactly on the day it is supposed to every single month. I swear, not ever even hardley an hour late!

Is anyone in the same situation? It is so frusturating to not know what is wrong but to know that something must be.

I have gone thru all the fertility testing, histersalpingogram(ok I murdered that) ...laproscopic surgery...that was all before my first dd. I mean there just has to be something I can do? I don't want to take clomid I just want it to happen. It must not be a major problem since clomid works well and easily for me right? I mean, I thought the soy isoflavones would work since clomid did so well but that just didn't happen.

So can anyone recommend either the vitex or licorice root for my situation?

Sorry to rant on, I am just tired of feeling this way

vitex is used to regulate your hormones, not induce ovulation. and it sounds like your cycles are right on.

if i was you i would start looking at a Semen Analysis. that sounds like the next logical step.

good luck!

Vitex helped me ovulate every time I used it after needing help coming of depo. That is why I only used it after O.

We have done the sperm analysis and nothing is wrong with dh. Plus he has another child with another woman, and we got pregnant right away with clomid so I really think the issue is with me.

I just need something natural that helps make ovulation stronger???

I know this probably isn't the answer you're looking for, but why not just go with what works for you (i.e. Clomid)? It seems like looking for another answer is totally stressing you out, which could even make the situation harder than it already is. From what I've read in your other posts, you've tried a bazillion and a half things, so it's not like you are "cheating" if you do the clomid. Although, I'm not sure the specific reason you don't want to use it, so forgive me if it's out of the question to do it again.

That being said, I could be a little biased because I'm in a very similar situation to you and am only just now getting the okay to use clomid. We've tried every position, every herb, every test, etc. and have had no luck. All tests and procedures come back normal, I ovulate regularly and my cycle runs like clockwork. At this point I'm hoping I'm even more like you and the clomid does the trick!

i did some research on this also. now, i need you to do some heavy research on these before you look into them because they can have side effects...but apparently they work

one is called Sepia.
it is the ink of a cuddlefish. and it is the one that made me nervous, but people have used it for longer than forever. lol! this is the one that seems to be most effective.

the other is Lycopodium Clavatum

http://www.livestrong.com/article/68...ycopodium-use/

a study on the reproductiveness of cows.using sepia- http://www.sciencedirect.com/science...c&searchtype=a

http://www.gettingpregnant.co.uk/homeopathy.html

* sepia 6c: this type of homeopathy remedy is used to treat irregular or absent ovulation
* sabina6c: recommended for women who have experienced recurrent miscarriage
* aurum: used in cases when low sex drive and depression are the cause of infertility
* phosphorus: used when anxiety and stress are contributing to female infertility
* silica: a type of homeopathy remedy used to boost the immune system in order to improve a woman’s chances of getting pregnant

and here is some more info on other remides- http://www.similima.com/case13.html

GaleTX-it does sound like we are very similar! I hope the clomid works for you!!! I just don't want to take it again right now. I may resort to that later on down the line but right now where I am I just want this whole thing to work out naturally. I have some confidence issues I think when it comes to getting pregnant and birthing. I have had 2 csections and the 2nd one was completley devastating to me. I know it is not related to the clomid but I just stupidly feel like maybe if it starts naturally it was meant to be and will end naturally (no csec). I know that is a bit irrational but I just want to know that I work. I want to be surprised. I don't know if any of that even makes sense but that is how I am feeling in a nutshell

vivica2-wow thank you! I am going to do lots of research on all of those things you listed and probably give some a try!

Anyone used any of those things vivica2 listed?

Adult tussin

Ladies:

It really depends on the person what kind of problem you have, specifically. It took me 3mnths, this is the 4th but I'm there. I noticed that my problem was lack of ewcm. I use to have plenty, especially noticable on ovulation day.

I took YOGI tea with red raspberry leaf on it, at least twice a day, and another tea with red clover on it. I also took Adult tussin (the one that has listed ONLY Guaifenesin on it), make sure no DM, abut 3 days till ovulation day and my sinuses were clearing up nicely which means that everything else in the mucus shape was thinning, including cervical mucus. It tastes horrible, I took the suryp, strongly recommend the pill form.

It worked for me, make sure though that you only drink the teas and tussin up to ovulation nad mybe a day later. You don't need more than that.
