Pre-seed, does it really help?

I recently heard about the lubricant pre-seed... Does it really help when TTC?
I've never used any lubricant before, so I'm a bit hesitant to use it, but if it helps, why not.

We are trying for #2, with no luck so far after 6 months of trying, and using the Clearblue monitor for the last 2 months. I'm still nursing my DD who will turn 2.5 in a month, so maybe that has something to do with it? I'm 41, which doesn't help either, I'm sure...

Any advice would be great. Thanks!

The first time I used it I got pregnant. Now I'm on the second month of using it and so far nothing. I think the only issue I have with it is it makes it difficult to track your body's own CM for fertility purposes. It's difficult to tell the next day if it is from your own body or if it is the Preeseed.

I don't think it helps so much as doesn't hurt--it can't replace or enhance anything your own body makes, only provide sperm-safe lubrication if you need it.

ITA, my DH is circed, and thus, dry. We need something especially when BDing for a kid, because we're not always 100% into it And pre-seed is sperm friendly, so that's what we used when we conceived DS

We used it twice no go. I still have the rest here and will try it if things seem scant later on. Right now we are leaving it in Nature's hands as getting pregnant now wouldn't be the BEST timing (moving house and all) but we aren't willing to give up a couple cycles over that either. So, if it happens fine, if not, it's probably for the best.

Once settled in and renovations done we might try it again since that would be the better time to pull out all your fertility enhancing tricks.

We are trying it now. I don't know if it will help but it certainly is a nice product.

Same here. We really aren't "four days in a row" people, so if nothing else it made things a lot more comfortable. I didn't have great CM this time either so I'm hoping it gave them a little help to get where they were going, but I'm still in the 2WW.
