I thought my son was trying to self wean as well based on information from magazines and books but they informed me at daycare that he was doing the same thing with is bottles of expressed milk. On and off, looking around pushing it away. I didn't give up I am glad I didn't. Soon after nighttime nursings picked up so that was a sure sign he is not ready to wean!!
