Anyone use Flip inserts with other covers?

I'm wondering whether I can use Flip inserts with fleece or wool wraps (assuming they're tight-fitting) - anyone tried this with success? I'm trying to up the breathability of DS's diapers but I still need the stay-dry next to his skin...

That might work. I tried them with my thirsties covers and there was some major leakage. For breathability we often use a prefold and with a Snappi and let her play on a towel. But, if your DS is more mobile, that might be messy

Are the flip inserts essentially the same as the bumgenius inserts? It looks like it from the pics I see online, but I can't tell.

Also, are the flip covers the same material as the BG pocket diapers? Or is it more of a nylon material like the bumkins covers?

I use the Flip inserts with Thirsties and Bummis SWW with no problems.

The inserts are the same material as the BG inserts, but with the suedecloth sewn to the top. They work really well for DS. The covers are like the BG pocket diapers - they're shiny on the inside where the laminate is. They work well.

I've tried the insert with a Swaddlebees fleece wrap a couple of times in the past two days, and it seems to work quite nicely. Bulkier than the PUL cover, of course, but breathable. The terry on the bottom of the insert means that it doesn't shift inside the cover. I'm going to try it with a new wool wrap I've just knitted and lanolized to see how it goes. I tried it with a looser-fitting wool wrap and it was not a success - needs to be a tighter fit.
