stress, supply and slow flow

my supply seems to have taken a dip (i think). last week was very stressful for the whole family, we traveled for the funeral of my grandfather. after returning home, i noticed that it was taking me longer to pump the same amount of milk and that dd was fussing at the breast toward the end of the day (she has a notoriously low tolerance for for slow flowing milk).
so i'm drinking mother's milk tea a few times a day and eating oats like they're going out of style. i've also had the opportunity to nurse dd an extra couple times of day because we're transitioning her sleeping arrangements and she's been up a couple of times per night. i think my supply is bumping back up, i'm feeling much fuller prior to my normal pumping times and dd is less fussy during feedings.
however, it's still taking me a longer time to pump what i normally do. for instance, i usually pump for 35 minutes in the morning and get 5.5oz. this morning it took me 55 minutes to get 5.5 oz.

what's the deal? am i doing the right things?

oops, forgot to say that yes, i did check it out. i've got the PIS and everything seems to be working well. i cycle through 2 full sets of pump assemblies (home set and work set) and am getting the same result from both.
poo.

on a positive note, i went horseback riding this weekend and there was a corral with 3 mom/baby pairs and i got to watch a baby horse nurse. it was the cutest! then the mom came over to give me a sniff and i'm like "i nurse my baby too!!!" (such a dork).

drat - the pump is the easiest answer!

love your horse story!

hope you get it figured out soon. Have you tried cluster pumping? On for 5 min off for 5 min to get multiple let downs?

checking back in to say that through extra nursing, mother's milk tea and tons of oats, i've bumped my supply back up. thank goodness. it took about a week.

Nicely done - sounds like it was hard work, but you hung in there!
