dolls to use with doll house

I got my kids (6 and almost 3) a doll house for Christmas. It came with a few dolls. I would like to buy more for it. Right now, they use those dolls, polly pockets, lego people, and Little People. The problem is there are no babies (Well, just 1 little people baby). I am also considering passing the little people on to my nephew at some point.

I am looking for suggestions of dolls the right size to work with the others, but the dolls seem so big. i have no preference for wood vs. plastic. The polly pockets are about 3.75 inches, the doll house adults are about 4.5 (I think). I would like something in that range.

The Caring Corners dolls are over 6 I think and the Loving Family ones are about 6 I think. So I am not sure that is the way to go as they are a bit bigger.

Would like something semi-posable. They need to be able to sit and such. Ideally with other accessories available (car, cribs, etc).

any suggestions?

Ds has some Ryan's Room people
We've played with Plan Toys people too.
They have these Melissa and Doug ones at the children's museum near us

These Melissa and Doug ones are wood and come with a baby

I saw the M&D at the store the other day and they were better looking than I would have expected (been recalled too often for me to like the company). Plan toys has some cute ones. Nova has some terribly expensive pretty ones.
