They actually liked school

I am shocked. The children went to the charter school that I posted about where it used to be a magnet. They both had rotten years in public last year, which I posted about previously. I thought no public school would ever work out, BUT, apparently, things went well today. They like it. Even my "high standards" daughter liked it. I hope it stays this way! I guess I can breathe now. Just wanted to update you all.

I did not read about your other experiences however, I wanted to say I was relieved to hear your experience. My daughter has been in a similar situation the past few years and I have almost given up with sending her back to school at all but, the public school starts in a few weeks here and I am hoping that my daughter will come home happy too!! Glad to hear school is working out!

That's great. I hope the hockey players come up to your kids' standards (and don't smell too bad)

The regular public school was awful. We sent them to a magnet charter school. But we got notice last week it would not be a magnet school anymore as they have merged with a hockey academy. It was supposed to be a math and science magnet.
