just conceived, now what?

Hopefully we successfully made a baby this weekend. Now what? This will be our 2nd child, the 1st came with one try as well, do think we will be so lucky this time around? I knew I was pregnant several days after with our
1st cause my boobs got so heavy & hard w/in a week. I am wondering if it will be the same this time. I did not do any temping and my cycle is shorter than before I had the 1st so I hope I gaged it correctly when I was ovulating! Would love to hear other stories about conceiving after the 1st baby, harder, easier, same for you?

Conceiving was the same every time, I've been fortunate that it's not difficult for me. Each pregnancy, though, has been completely different: different cravings, different symptoms, different weight gain, different emotions, different physical illness or lack thereof, different sleep patterns, etc.

Took me six times with #1, only 2 cycles with #2. And I was 39, so...so much for it being harder as you get older.

One cycle/miscarriage, another cycle = DD, this time two cycles to get this baby. Good luck!

good luck! now you wait

for me.. every time i've gotten pregnant has been different.. the first time it took 4 cycles, the 2nd time it happened quciker but i miscarried - then it took another 7+ months .. this time was a surprise (withdrawl) baby ..

i know tons of people who have gotten pregnant on the first try whenever htey wanted, so that could be you but try not to beat yourself up if it takes a few months ...

you can find a lot of great support on this topic in the trying to concieve forum. I spent a lot of time there in the four months it took me to concieve this baby. Good Luck!

The first baby wasn't a walk in the park to conceive but #2 took nearly 2 years and 2 miscarriages. Lots of 2's there! So it took about twice as long. For you that would be 2 months! Be prepared for it to be different and not so simple, but I hope it is and your workin' on a baby right now!

DS took about 6 months to conceive, but I wasn't O'ing regularly so actually the first time I O'd, we conceived.

This time I got pregnant on my 2nd cycle trying, but had an early m/c. Then again got pregnant on my 2nd cycle after m/c and here I am at 32 weeks.

Good luck!!

First time, I went off the pill and had one period and poof! Pregnant! This time, we tried for about 7 cycles before we got pregnant. I totally thought it would happen on the first try and after 6 months I had actually booked an appt at a fertility clinic for a workup (I'm too old to sit around and wait!) and then found out I was pregnant about a week before my laproscopic surgery to find out why I wasn't getting pregnant. All that to say, good luck, hope it happens instantly for you, if not, try not to freak out like I did.

DD was one "try" if you can say that - she was kind of an oops It took 1st try, 6th try, 4th try and 1st try for the rest with 3 m/c in there and currently gestating the last (hopefully this is a sticky!) - I'm 27 fwiw, so it just is kind of random I guess!

I'm pg with my 4th, and all of them were one try (or less, surprise!). Not likely, but it does happen.

GL!
