Is it safe to encapsulate a 7 mo old frozen placenta?

We live in a rental in a major city where our child was born, and our placenta is still in the freezer. It's been 7 months and our freezer is strong.

Is it safe to still encapsulate? Should we dry and make an amulet? Any ideas? I was so overwhelmed postpartum I didn't consider the encapsulation idea.

I have no where significant to plant it, and doing it in a public place is most likely illegal.

Yep!

When i was doing all my research I read that you're placenta is good in the freezer for up to 12 months if you want to encapsulate. Just thaw like a roast and go from there.

I was trying to find the link I read this on but can't :-(

I personally would still encapsulate it though.

Thanks. I've been trying to google this info with not much luck..I guess it's not a common thing for most people. I even looked at some old threads here and there wasn't too much to gather.

Bless your upcoming home birth! We have been high from ours for the past 7 months! :-)
