Going back to school in September!

I just found out tonight that I've been accepted into the BSN program that I applied to. I am very excited because I applied last minute and rushed to get all my transcripts in on time. I was laid off in the beginning of August and applied for school the next day. I go in for advising and registration tomorrow. I am really hoping I can get into the courses I need since other students started registering last week.

On top of that my certificate of eligibility came from the VA so I'll be able to use my GI bill benefits which makes going back to school much easier financially. I was planning on going back next year but since I was laid off it seemed like a good time to apply.

Thanks! I registered yesterday for 12 credits, all required courses that work with my husband's work schedule. I am due in November so hopefully I'll be able to manage everything. I am just going to plan on staying ahead on my work so that when I have this baby I won't get too far behind.

Congrats! Goodluck with the BSN program. I'm about to apply for an ADN program (with plans to go straight through to the RN-BSN program afterwards). Maybe you'll have the baby over Thanksgiving break.

This is an RN-BSN program. I think the ADN is the more difficult part especially with all the clinical time involved.

I am hoping to go late, I am due November 30th so I might be able to be pregnant the whole semester. We'll see how it all works out, obviously I have no control over when this baby will be ready.

I also accepted a part time job offer today! Which is great because now I don't have to rely on the whims of unemployment, but it means I'll be even busier. I'll be out on maternity for November and December so I really just need to get through September and October with everything and then figure out what to do for the spring with a new baby.
