Mockingjay!!!

Yay! Mockingjay (the 3rd in the Hunger Games Trilogy) was released today!!! It's on it's way to me - should be here Wednesday.

I can not wait!!

I got mine yesterday and started it last night. It sucks you in right away! Wish I had more time to read today!!!

I have it on hold at the library once it finally arrives. I am really looking forward to it too. Actually Hunger Games was recommended on one of the threads here and when I read the description I thought "really?", but I gave it a try and loved both it and the second one. Can't wait to read it!!!

DON'T WORRY - NO SPOILERS!

I finished Tuesday night. I was satisfied and surprised by some of the twists the book took.

It was hard to get into at first, I think because the setting is different in this book. Also, characters who were minor or not in the previous books very much had bigger parts and also the reverse was true for some other characters.

I'm just sad that this series is over. What can I read now? I started The Maze Runner because it was part of a "If you liked the The Hunger Games you might like this" type of thing. It has been hard to get into also..

If anyone else has finished, please post! I'd love to discuss some of the aspects of Mockingjay!

I'm done too. I have to agree that the only disappointment I have is that the series is now over. I don't want to write too much in case of giving anything away!

I read The Maze Runner last year and it is hard to get into and seemed a little draggy to me. The sequel for it comes out in October and I'll probably read it even though I didn't care about the characters very much.

Just finished!!!!!! Re-read each chapter twice, to draw it out. Didn't want it to end too soon

I had many predictions and variations of predictions of how it would end, and it's nice when it's a variation I didn't think of. Love surprises!

Many parallels to Harry Potter and Twilight; won't say them here to not ruin it for anyone, but I kept thinking, "That's just like so-and-so!".

Uggg... what to read now? Off to request The Maze Runner from the library...

I finished it last night! I read it slowly to draw it out as well! Such good storytelling and so honest. I felt like the aftermath of a lot of things were more realistic than similar books.
