So Sad

I was bitten by two dogs this weekend.

We were staying at the house of someone we didn't know really well and they have 2 small dogs. I should have been much more aware of what was going on because we were staying in this one section of the house that the dogs aren't allowed to go. I got a nip or two coming out of that area. They were being so territorial.

My husband, got more of a bite. Stupid me. I should have pulled us out of there right then and there. But I didn't want to insult our hosts. Sigh.

So I start walking towards that area that they aren't allowed in and they went nuts. I have 2 huge bite marks on my legs. They are pretty graphic looking.

It is after I've been bitten, they mention (in passing) that other guests of theirs have also been bitten. WTF! I tried to suggest that they needed to look at further training for the dogs, but I felt they were quite dismissive of my suggestions.

Their version of training for a dog is hitting it with this slim stick. It was horrible.

There aren't really any laws about animal abuse there, like there is in the states and Canada, so I wouldn't be able to do anything about their method of 'training'.

So I'm just so sad. Sad for those dogs. Sad for the owners who honestly don't have a clue what it takes to have a dog. Sad for me and my poor legs.

I am sorry to hear about your legs and the dogs too. It breaks my heart to hear stories as such. BLAH!

We have a neighbor that has been watching a dog it seems during the day. I have been hearing a pup bark and bark and bark lately, went over to their house yesterday and found a pup tied to a fence on a leash that was maybe 2 feet long. FRUSTRATING! To make matters worse, I can't communicate with them, I don't speak Spanish (on the list to learn)! My other neighbor is planning to call the Humane Society today, not to nark them off, but to maybe educate and give them a longer leash/rope. They didn't answer the door when I went over, hope today solves things!

That is so sad!

I hope the dogs were up to date on their rabies vaccines, and I hope your legs are healing well.

Well, it was in Singapore and Singapore is a rabies free country.
