I am using A Beka phonics with DD-6. It will be more of a review for the first part but I am going to start at the beginning of grade 1 for her. I bought the Phonics and reading curriculum guide but not the seatwork curriculum guide. The 1st guide has what pages to read in the "a Handbook for Reading" book and what flash cards to use but not what pages to do in the Letters and Sounds seatwork text. Also the lessons do not corrolate. Lesson 100 in the guide is not the same sounds in the seatwork text lesson 100.... I am so confused. Why couldn't A Beka put the teachers guides all together????
SO, if anyone has used A Beka phonics/letters and sounds can you please help me figure out what pages in Letters and Sounds go with the lessons in the teachers guide?
I actually sat down with the Handbook for Reading and figured out what pages go with what lesson in Letters and sounds already....all 170 lessons!
