I would also sell #2
I agree that your husband will come around to liking the new SUV. If my kids can touch each other in the car it's a recipe for disater and not an enjoyable ride anywhere for anyone! I love my 3rd row of seats and I can't even imagine going back to 2.

Sell #2.

I also have an 80lb-ish (well, 75lb) dog so I understand how much space they take up. The large SUV will fit your whole family on a trip - 3 kids, a dog plus luggage takes up a huge amount of space.

I also think it's a good idea to keep the small truck, as it's handy and useful for your husband's job(s).
